I am currently a Science Communication Specialist at the Yale Biodiversity and Global Change Center where I manage the communications strategy for the research and high-level conservation products our lab develops. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Geobiology from Brown University, where my undergraduate experiences focused on environmental remote sensing, youth environmental education, and environmental justice. I am interested in how effective, justice-oriented, climate-conscious conservation can happen across large, shared landscapes through resource and knowledge sharing and cooperation among communities, and how data products and tools can facilitate this cooperation. |
Hobbies & Interests
ReadingI'm a big fan of science fiction (Ursula Le Guin and Ted Chiang are two of my favorite authors), but I also love all things fiction and poetry and always enjoy a good, engaging book on science, environment, or nature. I'm on a mission to read 48 books this year. Follow my progress, my books, and my reviews on my Goodreads!

ForagingThe relationships we cultivate with the land we live on are incredibly important. I've been learning from other people in my communities and from my surroundings just how much there is to learn, beyond even edible or medicinal plants, and how strong, gratitude-filled relationships can be built through this never ending journey of learning and teaching.

Educational YoutubeI'm passionate about science education that is engaging and accessible to all, and these days, educational YouTube channels are creating some of the most interesting, accurate, and well-made science content out there! I'm a big fan of the PBS channels (SciShow, PBS Eons, SciShow Space) and apart from science, I love channels about religion, linguistics, literature, and mythology.
